How to Access TeamViewer on Chromebook

TeamViewer is available on Chromebooks through Android apps from the Google Play Store.

Not sure if your device supports Android apps? Check our list of compatible Chromebooks.

Note: Full remote control of your Chromebook isn’t supported, screen sharing is the primary function.

Method: Install TeamViewer Android App

  1. Open the Google Play Store on your Chromebook.
  2. Search for “TeamViewer Remote Control” in the search bar.
  3. Click “Install” to download the Full Client app.
  4. Launch TeamViewer from your app drawer.
  5. Sign in or enter a device ID to connect.

Download TeamViewer Full Client (Google Play Store)

Quick Tip: 💡 Use the Full Client for both outgoing and incoming connections.

Why we prefer this method: The Full Client app offers the most versatility, letting you control other devices and share your Chromebook’s screen.

Note: If the Play Store isn’t enabled, see our guide to activate it. QuickSupport and Host apps are alternatives for specific use cases, see FAQ.
