Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to the Brawl Stars universe, like I am, playing on a Chromebook opens up new possibilities. The larger display enhances the visual experience, while the option to use touch controls or a keyboard and mouse setup can also be someone’s preferred method but…I am not sure if this game will allow this setup, most games these days do as the wall between mobile gaming and game on any console or device is getting thinner and thinner as time goes.
Hence why you can now play the thousands upon thousand of apps and games from the Google Play Store right on your Chromebook and if you love gaming, definitely check out our list of the best Chromebooks for gaming.

What is the gameplay like?
Well I played this game for about 20-25 minutes tops, it’s not really my thing as some of you might know already, I mean it wasn’t bad but… let’s just say I’m not rushing to become a Brawl Stars champion anytime soon.
The characters are cute and all, I’ll give them that, and the battles are pretty action-packed, it’s easy to learn and but between you and me,
I think this is a game my brother might like way better than me, same way I liked Pokemon and he liked Digimon better lol anyway, so yeah, the game starts you off with a quick tutorial that throws you right into the action. You pick a character, or “Brawler” as they call them, and jump into these colorful arenas. It’s all about shooting, dodging, and using your special abilities to take out the other team.
The matches are pretty fast-paced, usually lasting just a few minutes. You’re constantly on your toes, trying to grab power-ups, avoid getting blasted, and work with your teammates to complete objectives. There’s a bunch of different game modes too, like gem collecting or robot-fighting, which keeps things interesting.
I gotta admit, even though it’s not my cup of tea, I can see why people get hooked. The controls are simple enough, but there’s definitely a skill curve as you learn each Brawler’s quirks and figure out the best strategies. Plus, the whole collecting and upgrading characters thing gives it that addictive “just one more match” vibe.

- Engaging Game Modes: Multiple modes like Gem Grab, Showdown, and Heist keep gameplay diverse and exciting.

- Competitive and Customizable: Offers ranked matches and a variety of skins for personalizing brawlers.
- Accessible Yet Deep: Easy for beginners to pick up but offers depth for experienced players.
Cons:
- In-App Purchases: Heavy reliance on purchases for progression can be frustrating for free players.
- Balancing Issues: Some brawlers and modes can feel unbalanced.
- Network Dependency: Requires a stable internet connection; lag can disrupt gameplay.
- Repetitive Gameplay: Can become repetitive over time despite mode variety.
- Limited Solo Play: Focuses mainly on multiplayer, with fewer options for solo players.
