Wideo on Chromebook

Hello everyone, you can download Wideo for Chromebook and experience using a video editing app that is made comes with premade video templates to make it even easier to have your first professional video for others to see.

How to install Wideo as an Android app

In order to install this app on your ChromeOS whether that be on a Chromebook or whatever else, you can do that following our instructions right below.

  1. Choose where you want to download the app from:
  2. Once Wideo is installed, launch it from the Launcher (app drawer) or the shelf (taskbar). Click the Wideo icon to load it.

Once you have the downloading out of the way, you can read more about the app and see if it is worth your time. I honestly almost didn’t write about this app because of its lower than average ratings on the Google Play Store, for those of you who have already started the download or about to, you will notice the Android app at the original time of this post, was/is rated 2.8 out of 5 which isn’t that good, it isn’t all that bad either but still it means this app has a lot of improvements it needs to make to at least reach our standard of 3.5 stars. So why did I decide to still add this app despite the lower ranking? Because the service it self, the web-platform is stable and pretty damn good and it is much better than the app in my opinion and I suggest it to use their official website to access the video editor here.

I tried out Wideo via their official website/web platform and it is honestly quick and gets the job done, you just quickly signup with a free account and within a few seconds, you are on your way to your first pro video. As a lot of you will notice from the hundreds of premade templates they have for you to use, you will see that a lot of them are focused on small businesses etc and that is who this video editor is being used by, digital marketing companies, social media influencers/companies etc so don’t be surprised if you feel a bit left out, if you want a general quick animation editor that can do a lot of the same things Wideo can do, try FlipaClip.

With the screenshot below, you can see how easy it is to manipulate your own logo/brand once you have added in there, you can edit how wide or long it is without leaving the page, trust me, it makes a huge difference if you don’t have much time. Again, these features are not necessarily anything new when it comes to video editing per say but in the modern era, it is still a much have feature and Wideo offers it right out of the box without having to pay extra for it.

You should also check our list of Chromebooks that can run Android apps and games. If your ChromeOS device is on the list or if it was made after 2017, it can most likely run this app without any issues. Let us know in the comments what you think about this app, a great app for those of you interested in editing your own videos and creating ads for your clients or yourself.
