2021 Microsoft Office Online Update
Microsoft’s new Google Chrome extension(I think they should just call it an app) was added to the Chrome Web store. The new app(extension), is called “Office Online” adds an icon on the toolbar that helps you easily, edit, share and create new Office documents, Word Documents, Excel Sheets, OneNote notes, or PowerPoint presentations using Microsoft’s online service.
- A quicker way to access and create Office documents on Chrome browser.
- Additional Office Online enhancements for Chrome.
- Office on Android compatibility with Chrome.
The main point of this app according to Microsoft is for you, the user, to have an easy to access icon on your browser that quickly and easily lets you open up any of their Microsoft Office online services. This is for those of you who like to get to the point lol.
We want to bring Office to you wherever you are. If you use Chrome, there is a new extension that lets you create and open Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Sway documents using Office Online right from the Chrome browser. You can also use the extension to open and view existing Office documents stored on OneDrive, on OneDrive for Business and on your computer right from Chrome.
