How is the gameplay?
Jumping into Dead Cells isn’t just about hacking and slashing your way through a bunch of dungeons, it’s an art form, wait wait, let me explain what I mean…Picture this, you load up the game, and you are this thing that’s taken over a headless dude, right? And you’re in this massive, ever-changing castle that’s just begging to be explored. But here’s where it gets good. Every time you play, the place switches up. New paths, new traps, and oh ya, tons of crazy cool looking monsters and bosses(my favorite part).
So, I’m there, choosing my weapons, a sword that’s all about speed, and a bow because, let’s face it, keeping your distance means staying alive in such 2D adventure games, or at least you would assume so right? And the enemies? They’re not just standing around waiting to be taken down. Nope. They’re sneaky, they’re tough, and they’ll jump you when you least expect it. But beating them feels good, especially when they drop something cool that you can use to upgrade yourself or weapons.
And then there’s the dying part. Yeah, you heard me. You’re going to die, a lot. But it’s all part of the game. Die, learn, come back stronger, and get a little further each time. The game’s got this dark, gritty vibe, yet it’s so addictive. One minute you’re laughing at a clever trap that got you, and the next, you’re deep in strategy mode, planning your next move, your next build.
